Item Highlights
Globe Eggplant
Sunrise Organic Farms, co-founded in 2015 by Samantha Watson, Jesus Salas, and Andrew Gibson, has grown from a modest 12-acre plot to over 200 acres across Santa Barbara County. They’re guided by a commitment to organic, sustainable farming. Their Globe eggplants are a standout among the many varieties they cultivate, prized for their smooth, glossy purple skin and tender, creamy flesh. Mild in flavor and wonderfully absorbent of seasoning, these eggplants are ideal for roasting, grilling, or layering into rich, savory dishes. Because Sunrise grows a wide array of seasonal produce all on their own land, you get more than just excellent flavor; each eggplant reflects the care and terroir of their local, regenerative practices.
Finca Pascualete Pastura con Trufa
Finca Pascualete is a family-owned farm and cheese producer located in Extremadura, Spain. Their Merino sheep graze freely, enjoying a diverse diet of trees, natural grasses, wildflowers, and native plants such as rosemary, thyme, and juniper. This type of grazing contributes to the unique flavor and quality of their cheeses. This bloomy-rind cheese features pasteurized sheep’s milk and decadent Italian black truffles. The milk imparts sweet, buttery flavors with notes of nutmeg. The truffle throughout adds complex earthiness and notes of black pepper. It’s rich, creamy, and perfect for the season.
Morbier
Fromagerie Jean Perrin is a family-owned creamery in France founded in 1965 by Jean Perrin and his wife. They remain committed to traditional cheesemaking, using raw or carefully pasteurized cow’s milk from local farms, AOP certification, and refining their cheeses in cellars across the Franche-Comté region. Their Morbier AOP is instantly recognizable by its thin horizontal line of ash running through the middle. This was once a preservation method: evening curds were protected overnight with a layer of ash, then more curds were added the next day. The flavor starts mild and nutty, with grassy and fruity overtones, and as it ages, the richness deepens while retaining a supple, springy texture. The rind adds an earthy aroma that enhances its depth. This semi-soft, pungent cheese pairs best with fresh bread and Dijon mustard.
iContadini Raisin and Onion Taralli
Taralli are traditional, ring-shaped snacks from the South of Italy. Specifically originating in Puglia, where iContadini is based, they are a staple in Italian culture. IContadini works to rediscover traditions by making their products by hand, taking the time to respect nature’s rhythms. Made with wheat flour, white wine, olive oil, and select flavorings, these traditional Italian crackers are briefly boiled before baking—a technique that gives them their distinctive texture. Their taralli stand apart with their exceptional crunchiness, achieved through the use of premium Senatore Cappelli durum wheat. This variety features raisins and onions, creating a bold and harmonious contrast between sweet and savory. These flavors are enhanced by delicate caramelized notes and an elegant hint of white wine!
Amano Macoris 70% Dark Chocolate
Amano is known for their small-batch approach and dedication to showcasing the true character of each origin they work with. Years ago, founder Art found a beautiful cocoa plantation that caught his imagination. On this particular day, it was overcast, and the cocoa trees were new and laden with a rainbow of cocoa pods. It was very peaceful, with the exception of the tropical birds chirping and squawking. For seven years, he wanted to make chocolate with beans from this magical place. The final result of this single-origin bar has tasting notes of molasses, brown sugar, cream, caramel, nuts, and dried apricots.
